Session 13 Agenda


LEARNING ACTIVITY I.   Reader Response Workshop

Students have the entire class to compose their digital response to their selected YA literature.   

REMEMBER:   You must turn in your digital camera next week as well as burn at least one copy of your digital response to bring to submit along with your instructional rubric on Session 14.

Session 12 Agenda

Learning Activity 1: Revisiting Using Fantasy and Science Fiction to Meet the ELA Standards

(7:00-7:10)  
Heather will distribute her revised Unit Overview and share any final reflections on her unit/teaching demonstration.   

Learning Activity 2:  "C"-omprehending the Powers of Adventure and Mystery

(7:10-7:45)   
Dr. Jones will lead the class in an analysis of the instructional strategy "Seven Cs of Comprehension"

7:45-8:00 Break

Learning Activity 3:  Reviewing Expectations for Components D&E of Meeting ELA Standards Project

(8:00-8:15)   
Dr. Jones will distribute final rubric to be used to evaluate LTED 629 students on their digital response project and MS/HS unit rubric
Dr. Jones will share a model of a rubric designed to evaluate students' response to CRANK and their understanding of the designated reading practices and elements of verse poetry (conventions)


Learning Activity 4:  Reading Workshop Time

(8:15-9:40) REQUIRED ACTIVITY:  Students will work on their digital "R"esponse to the self-selected YA work.
